What does the consultation include? After we receive your intake form and necessary medical records, Dr. Boone will personally review all of your medical history and labs. You will then have a scheduled time to speak with her, either in-person in Scottsdale, Arizona, through a video call, or with a phone call. She will then provide you and your doctors with a written report and recommendations. If you need surgery, you will then get scheduled for the operation, typically within a few weeks of your consultation.

What does the consultation cost? If you are in Arizona or would like to come to Arizona for the consult, then the visit may be covered by insurance. The amount you pay will depend on your individual insurance plan. If you do not have insurance, or are outside Arizona, then the second opinion consultation will cost $525. If this is a hardship, please let us know, as we do not want financial hardship to prevent you from getting the care you need.

Not sure if you need a consult? Dr. Boone treats all forms of parathyroid disease. All patients who will need parathyroid surgery have to have a consultation prior to booking. If you aren't sure whether you have parathyroid disease or need surgery, Dr. Boone can do a preliminary review of your labs (calcium and PTH) and let you know if a more in-depth consultation is right for you.
